          Hi Everyone, My name is Tawan Lamaichampa. I am a student of Chimacum High School, also working on my senior project. And THIS is my senior project... A fun run sounded like a good idea to me because running is what I do, also what I used to not like.

           This project was my older sister senior project too. She past it down to me and hope that it keeps continuing after my senior project. Most of the money will be donated to the children around the world, and the least will be for next year project.

Goals...

 1. To raise awareness about fitness espacially the young ones, because being healthy is very important!

  • Percent of persons all ages in fair or poor health: 10.3%

  • Percent of children 2-5 years who are obese: 8.4% (2011-2012)

  • Percent of children 6-11 years who are obese: 17.7% (2011-2012)

  • Percent of children 12-19 years who are obese: 20.5% (2011-2012)

  • Percent of adults 20 years and over who are obese: 35.1% (2011-2012)

  • Percent of adults 20 years and over with hypertension: 32.5% (2011-2012)

Fort Flagler State Park is a Washington state park on the site of Fort Flagler, a former United States Army fort at the northern end of Marrowstone Island. Fort Flagler was a Coast Artillery fort. It was established in 1897 and activated on in 1899.

 -  Discover Pass, only $30 for 1-year or $10 per park visit.

Feed the hungry children!!!...you won’t get a robot — you’ll get a person just like you who’s invested in helping kids be kids. 1 in 5 children faces hunger in America, and 1 in 4 children around the world suffers from chronic malnutrition that stunts growth. The biggest reason kids are hungry, both in the U.S. and around the world, is poverty. Poverty often means children not only don’t have enough to eat, they don’t have access to clean water, health care or education. They face hunger, disease and even death. 

Things you should know about

- The trail is called Bluff Trail.

- Participants who register on race day will not receive a t-shirt

- BIB PICKUP and REGISTER for this event is 9:00-12:30 a.m. on the upper campground, group picnic area.

- One big hill.

- Historical buildings are prohibited to go inside during the race.

- There are many small and big trails that are connected to it. You are also not allowed to go off some where else during the race.

- Run to the half way point so our kind-hearted volunteers can put a mark on your bib number.

- Run back to the starting line from the half way point on that very same trail.

- Please do listen to the volunteers when you are told what to do.

- Please be aware of other runners, bicyclist, hikers, and animals.

- There will not be a porta potty rental at the half way point

- The time limit is 1 hour and 30 minutes, which means you have to be back at the starting point by 2:30 P.M. on Saturday 9th.

- Foods&water are provided.

- Please follow the signs.

- Last but not least, small children need to be with their parents or someone who can watch them. How young? *Based on one judgment*

- Last one. Remember STREACHING is very important.
